Mighty Midgets
Mighty Midgets aims to provide an enjoyable introduction to the “most popular game in the world”, by giving kid’s the foundations skills to take them to the next stage, in friendly environment, with the emphasis on fun. Mighty Midgets is a great way for kids aged 3 - 6 to play football and have fun. Kids are placed in small teams with trained coaches and junior mentors where they will develop their skills and learn football techniques through fun themed games. 6th grade teams take part in the Might Midget World Cup. Each year from the 6th Grade two teams are selected for the MIGHTY WHITES squad, who will represent the Mighty Midgets at the Western Suburbs end of season tournament, playing against 7th grade teams. This season's MIGHTY WHITES reach the 3rd & 4th place playoffs narrowly missing out to the Wests 7th Grade Academy Team- a great achievement. |
Extension Groups for Football Mad Kids
From the 5th Grade we run extension groups called Academy and Development Squads. These are a great opportunity for your Football Mad Midget to stretch themselves. Your child can be nominated for these groups either by your coach or yourself. Parents please be aware this will involve extra mid week training sessions and an additional fee.

Parental Support
Please feel free to provide lots of positive encouragement from the sidelines because it is the best way to support the team and your child. We would also encourage you to teach your child to play by the rules, respect game officials and respect others; it is as important as learning the skills necessary to successfully play a sport.
Loss of Interest
Kids will occasionally lose interest and not want to take part. This is OK; it’s happen to all of us at some stage. If this does occur let them come back in their own time.
Slipped Halos
Every now and again kids will become upset and disruptive. If this does occur the coach will intervene to address the behaviour, as a parent we would ask you to support your coaches’ actions.
Coaching
We cannot run Mighty Midgets without those willing to get involved as coaches. It is a fun and rewarding way to spend your Sunday mornings. Each year we run pre-season and mid-season training courses for our coaches.
Managers
If coaching is not your thing, but you would love to help please let us know, we need Managers, sausage sizzlers and people with ideas to make it fun for the kids. Please contact us for more information.
